LeasingStack now supports auto brokers in Canada. Canadian brokerages can sign up, desk lease, finance, and cash deals with the right provincial tax, take credit applications built for Canadian customers, and run the same CRM and lead tools our US brokers use every day.
If you run a US brokerage, nothing changes for you. Your deals, tax rules, and settings work exactly as they did before. Canada is a separate setting on your account, chosen when you sign up.
Why Canadian brokers needed different software
Most auto broker software is built around US rules. Addresses ask for a ZIP code and a state. Leases are quoted in miles. Credit applications ask for a Social Security number. Sales tax comes from a state and county table. A Canadian broker using those tools ends up fixing the tax by hand, converting kilometres in their head, and explaining to customers why the form wants an SSN.
Canada works differently. Sales tax depends on the province, and it can be one harmonized tax (HST) or two separate ones (GST plus a provincial tax). Leases are taxed on each payment. Trade-ins, rebates, and luxury vehicles each have their own rules. Getting any of that wrong means a payment you have to eat, or a customer who loses trust in your numbers. We wrote a full walkthrough in how Canadian auto brokers can desk deals with province-based taxes.
What Canadian brokerages get
When you choose Canada at signup, the platform switches the parts that differ between the two countries. Everything else stays the same.
Provincial tax on every deal
The desk sets sales tax from the customer's province: GST, HST, PST, RST, or QST, at the current rate. Leases are taxed on each payment and on cash down. Trade-in, rebate, and fee rules follow the province, including the cases where BC PST works differently from the other provinces. You can always edit the rate on a deal if your situation calls for it.
Postal codes and provinces
Address fields ask for a province and a postal code in the A1A 1A1 format. When you enter a customer's postal code on the desk, LeasingStack works out the province and sets the tax for you. Your quotes, PDFs, and public pages show provinces and postal codes, not states and ZIP codes.
Kilometres, not miles
Lease distance is quoted in kilometres per year. The desk offers 16,000, 20,000, and 24,000 km residual bands, with 20,000 km as the default. Quotes, PDFs, and lease specials on your broker website all show km.
Credit applications for Canadian customers
Your branded credit application asks for residency status (citizen, permanent resident, work permit, study permit, or other) and makes the SIN optional. Co-applicants are supported, and every application lands in your CRM as a new file.
Canadian lender programs on Pro
On the Pro plan, the desk brings in live lender program data for Canada, so money factors, residuals, and incentives are current when you quote. On Growth, you enter programs by hand. Both plans include the full desk. See pricing for the difference.
The rest of the platform, unchanged
Canadian brokerages get the same auto broker CRM, Lead Center, broker website, team roles, and fee and commission tracking as everyone else. There is no separate Canadian product to learn.

Built for brokers on both sides of the border

Frequently asked questions
Does LeasingStack work for auto brokers in Canada?
Yes. Canadian brokerages can sign up, desk lease, finance, and cash deals with provincial sales tax, use Canadian postal codes and kilometres, and take credit applications built for Canadian customers.
Which provinces and territories are supported?
All of them. The desk knows the GST, HST, PST, RST, and QST rates for every province and territory and sets the tax from the customer's postal code.
Do Canadian credit applications require a SIN?
No. The SIN field is optional on Canadian credit applications. The form asks for residency status instead, and co-applicants are supported.
Is lender program data available for Canada?
Yes, on the Pro plan. Pro brings in live lender program data for Canada. On the Growth plan, you enter programs by hand.
Does anything change for US brokerages?
No. US brokerages keep the same tax rules, ZIP codes, miles, and credit applications they use today. Canada is a separate account setting.
